Dr Emmanual Alepu Odey
Senior Researcher
Dr. Emmanuel Alepu Odey Is a senior researcher in the Circular Bioeconomy Research Group at Munster Technological University. Emmanuel is working on the IKC3 project, supporting key submissions, papers teaching and learning, developing and delivering training programs.
He has previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Galway where he was involved in technical, reporting & communications, data collection & analysis, laboratory analysis, and on-site Real Time Control for energy efficiency in wastewater treatment plant and implementation of new findings. He has also worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Macao under the UM Macao Talent Program. Emmanuel has won more than 9 academic and research awards, including the Honorary Title of Excellent Graduating International Researcher Award, and the Outstanding International Researcher Award in three consecutive years. He has more than 10 years of experience in environmental science and engineering research with more than 30 peer-reviewed scientific articles.
Emmanuel’s primary expertise is in anaerobic digestion, lactic acid fermentation, wastewater treatment, composting process, pyrolysis process, energy efficiency in wastewater treatment plant, carbon emission analysis, cost efficiency, key performance indicators, data collection & analysis.
Emmanuel received his PhD degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the School of Energy and Environment at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, MSc degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the prestigious School of Environment, Tsinghua University, Beijing, and a BSc degree in Applied Geophysics.
