Dr. Sana Sehar 

Post Doctoral Researcher 

Dr. Sana Sehar is a Postdoctoral Researcher with the DOT.GREEN project in Circular Bioeconomy research group at Munster Technological University, where she contributes to research on developing and optimising business models for green biorefineries and advancing circular bioeconomy solutions for sustainable agri-food systems. 

She holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics and Management from Nanjing Agricultural University, China, and an MSc in Economics from Iowa State University, USA. She also obtained a certificate in Circular Economy from Munster Technological University, Ireland. Her academic background combines agricultural economics, sustainability, and resource management, with over sixteen years of university teaching and research experience at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan.  

Dr. Sehar’s research focuses on the economics of circular systems, bioresource valorisation, and sustainable value chain development within the agricultural and dairy sectors. She has collaborated on projects with international organisations including IFPRI and the FAO, and has published in peer-reviewed journals on agricultural markets, policy analysis, and food security. 

Passionate about developing innovative, circular approaches to agri-food challenges, Dr. Sehar is committed to supporting Ireland’s transition towards a more sustainable and resource-efficient bioeconomy.
