Bioeconomy Researcher

Dragica Grozdanić is a bioeconomy researcher in the Circular Bioeconomy Research Group at Shannon Applied Biotechnology Centre, Munster Technological University.
Dragica is working on regional bioeconomy development and policy for Robin and MainstreamBio project, both EU funded by Horizon Europe. She completed a Master’s degree in Agroecology at the Faculty of Agriculture University of Zagreb, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical business and technology at Griffith College Dublin. She developed her skill set as an agricultural scientist by further expanding her knowledge in the USA, Israel and Ireland with a special interest in sustainable agricultural practices.
Dragica (Dabi) has 8 years of work experience in Agri-sector, of which the last 5 years were strong focused on R&D projects. She was an Irish ambassador for the EU Horizon Project Coopid and a partner in two other EU Horizon Projects, Smart protein led by UCC and Valpro Path led by Teagasc, both with a strong focus on enhancing alternative plant protein production in the EU.
