Husain Sadeqi

Husain has joined the BBioNets project as a research assistant, conducting research on circular economy and bio-based technologies in agriculture and forestry sector. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science with specialization in Food Technology, a first Master’s degree in Food Technology, and a recent Master’s degree in Sustainable Food Systems. He has previously worked with NGOs in areas of rural development, livelihoods, and agriculture and veterinary programs support. His latest research experience, before joining CircBio was in the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Italy where he investigated the valorization of food and agricultural waste and residues to produce protein.

Husain aims to apply his experience and knowledge to drive impactful research outcomes at the grassroots level. His research interests are food system sustainability, biomass valorization, and climate change.
