Senior Research and Project Manager
Stephen Barry-Hannon is a Senior Researcher and Project Manager with extensive experience in bioeconomy innovation, project management, marketing, and communications. He currently manages the BioDirect project, which advances circular biobased opportunities in Agriculture, Construction, Textiles and Manufacturing, enterprise innovation, and stakeholder collaboration to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy.
Within the Target Circular project, Stephen has developed practical tools and frameworks that help SME’s and business advisors make better decision and help identify circular bioeconomy value chains and business models
With a strong background in managing practical industry and research initiatives, Stephen has led the design and implementation of communication strategies, dissemination activities, and exploitation pathways that enhance knowledge transfer and collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers.
